Data Privacy & Ethics Protocol

Effective Date: January 1, 2025
Jurisdiction: Cascadia Bioregion (APS Region 10)

1. Mission & Intent

The American Periphenomenal Survey (APS) is a decentralized academic initiative dedicated to the systematic documentation of anomalous human experience. Our goal is cartographic and archival. We are not a commercial entity and do not sell data.

2. Data Collection

We collect two types of data:

3. Anonymity & PII

The survey is designed to be anonymous by default. We do not track IP addresses. Providing contact information (Email/Phone) is strictly optional and is used solely for follow-up interviews by authorized Field Researchers.

4. Right to Erasure

If you have submitted data including contact information and wish to retract your report, you may issue a Burn Request to the Directorate. Please reference the date and approximate time of your submission.

5. Digital Footprint

This site (www.aps-project.org) is hosted via GitHub Pages. While the APS does not use tracking cookies, standard web access logs may be retained by the hosting provider for security purposes.
